Dementia And Hope Trails is Justin Marc Lloyd's guitar-based ambient/drone project. Justin uses guitar pedals, guitars, drums, vocals, amps, circuit bent toys, mixers, records/record players, tapes and tape players, field recorders and various other objects or instruments whether manufactured for sound-making or not. Lyrical messages are often political or deeply personal and dark. For fans of Emeralds, Sewer Election, Tangerine Dream, BBBlood, Sick Llama, Redrot, Sun Araw, Robedoor, Pedestrian Deposit, Prurient, Pocahaunted, Earth Incubator, Boar, Hammock and Yellow Swans.

Justin has also played in many bands of many genres including the power-violence band Surf Nazis On Ecstasy (drums), the political shoegaze/screamo band Shadow Gov’t (guitar/vocals), the pop/space rock band A Perfect Kiss (guitar/vocals), the 8-piece orchestral post-rock outfit Sawhorse (guitar/synth) as well as the alternative rock band Hybred that broke up in the year 2000 (drums/vocals/synth). Justin also does acoustic tunes mixed with noise under the name The Human Excuse.
