Matt Henshaw

Matt Henshaw lives in Upstate New York. He has been playing guitar for 20 years. His playing has shifted over time from blues-rock to jazz to currently a more improvisational avant-garde area collecting a wide array of influences. In 2002, he began recording solo work and made his CDs available through his website.

2008 has proven to be a productive year for Matt, recording over half a dozen releases. He has started to get local attention for his music, and has resumed live performances after a hiatus of many years. Henshaw has performed live this year with local minimalist electronics act NPV opening for an outdoor screening of 2001 and was recently asked to contribute a track to an upcoming compilation of Rochester "Noise" musicians.

Matt continues to seek opportunities to play and collaborate with other like-minded musicians, is passionate about making quality music available to a wider audience, and is deeply appreciative to those who take the time to listen to his music.
